I am exploring a few approaches that simplify and abstract the subject allowing the viewer to be more involved in interpreting the work.

I may still have a few more versions to try.
Using torn pieces of old or unsuccessful watercolor paintings, (yes that does happen!) I collaged or glued them onto a rigid board.
Then I added more Acrylic paint to develop more variation in color and value.
More color and glue.
Then more texture was added to the waterfall with an acrylic modeling medium.
